Tire Sizes

What tire sizes should I get to fit 8.5"x19" and 11"x19" wheels?

235/35/19 and 315/25/19 however, the Dunlop 305/xx/19's fit the rears as well.

I left you a message today on your cell. I am up if you care to talk about your question.

For the rears, tire size that wont rub will depend on offset and lip size....e.g. Peter from wheel experts told me that 4" lip on rear of 19x11 HREs will rub with 315 tires but will be fine with 295...He said 3" or 3.5" is better and will allow one to mount 315 rears with no rubbing

I have 315's in the rear with 19x11 inch HRE's that have 4" lips. I'm running Techart Coilovers and have absolutely no issues with rubbing.

Is there anything wrong with having 19x11 rears with 4" lips using 295s? Or are 315s much better?

Porsche will use 295-30-19 on the rear of the 997S. I have this set up on mine and like it. I had the 315's but the profile was just way too small and I didn't like the look.

So the Micheline PS2s are the only tire in a 315?

The HREs on the Turbo have a 4 inch lip and have 315/25/19 Yokohamas and they don't rub.

The Yokohama 315 is not a true 315.. It is what they like to call a "small mold tire". It better compares to a 295 series. The Dunlop 305 is a Large mold tire that is much wider than the Yoko 315's,
Nice thng about the Dunlop is you can run the 245/30 up front. I have the same set up on my car. Call me I have some sets in stock or you can try Peter at Wheel Experts. He usually keeps a couple on hand
