Agreed. Definitely ok as a DD. I'm close to 500 bhp (stage II) and i see 15-17 mpg in the city and low 20's on the freeways.

I drive mine every day (about 70 miles round trip). It is slightly modded with just a flash and Sportfilter, but it has been completely reliable so far. I get around 20mpg on average since I have a good bit of highway driving on my commute unless I'm stuck in traffic.

I drive mine everday to work, as long as there is no snow. I recently went back to a dual mass flywheel. Much easier to drive in traffic. I do miss the instant throttle response of my prior light weight unit though. Definately able to be driven daily.

When my '03 X50 was stock, it was a nice, fun, comfortable daily driver. Now its a loud, rough, 600HP machine. Don't get me wrong, i modded it for a reason and love what it has become. I don't find it to be the best dd as far as comfort, cellphone, stop and go traffic, etc. I got an M6 now as my daily driver. The turbo is more of a weekend car to go racing with the boys Can it be driven daily? sure, the car is bulletproof and a blast to drive. I think it depends on how you want to get to work each day.

This is how much you can daily drive it:

I was at Summit Point's Shenandoah Circuit last weekend... It was during a HEAVY downpour over a three day period. My car was on MPSCs and I was LAPPING the field in the rain. The car simply is amazing to drive at 100mph in the rain. Yea, PSM and ABS got a workout, but while others were slogging themselves around the course tip toeing or pulling themselves out of the mudd, I was running the course and having fun!

Had an instructor ride along with me during two sessions on Saturday, and his daily driver is a Lotus Exige. He was dumbfounded at how surefooted this car is at speed in adverse weather. Changed my thinking TOTALLY on this car... It is the best do anything supercar you can buy, PERIOD!
