Modded 996 tt...ok for DD?

I'm looking to purchase a 996 tt shortly after my sti sells. I was wonder if you think a 700hp beast would be acceptable for a DD or should i get something else like an E55 amg, E63 amg, C63 amg, 997 Carrera S...i'm stuck, and unfortunately i'm 22 years old and i go to the dealership and almost get laughed at and told that "these cars are expensive, why not a c350 or a Cayman S" wtf i don't want one of those. I think even with $20k in cash for a downpayment, i will still have a hard time getting a test drive. Will you give me reasons why you would choose the car you picked for my DD. Thanks for all the help.

My car is pretty much what you describe. I drive it to work every day and other than a very long list of tickets, the car is great. You have to accept that you can't be in front of everyone. But it handles the effort easily.

You can pick up a used TT for $55-60K drive the crap out of it and still get $45K for it in three years. The MB isn't going to do that.

I drive mine everyday but its only Stage 2.

Something to remember getting 600-700hp is going to cost some $$$. Porsche's aren't cheap.. I learned this quickly

14mpg You must put your foot in it every chance you get.

I'm at 17+mpg, but that is mostly rush hour traffic with occasional bursts
