Question to those with Carnewal Pedals...
Question to those with Carnewal Pedals...
Just had the Ruf look-a-like pedals from Carnewal installed. Looks great but have a couple questions.
Since the new pedals are now longer as well as more curved than the original plastic pedals, have any of you had a harder time engaging the clutch? It seems that when I engage the clutch now (where you hear the clicking noise), I need to really use more force and the bottom of the pedal (where it is curved) is really digging into the back of the floorboard. Any of you other guys experience this? If so, is there a remedy for it? I dont want to make a hole in the floorboard after driving it for a while.
And the next question I have might be stupid. I have always believed, and practiced, when shifting gears to always depress the clutch until i hear the clicking sound before I enter or go out of a gear. I have heard a few people say that that is not necessary when shifting and that I only need to depress the clutch and hear the clicking sound for starting the engine??
Sorry for the long post. I appreciate any feedback!
Thanks!

Ryan:
Poursha made a good point. Could you try and see where we mounted your pedals in relation to the back of the original pedal? The pedal offer limited mounting area so maybe a little adjustment can eliminate this issue. If you do end up coming to the meet tommorrow, we can look into it there.
