I knew Duane was blowing tires left and right (the expression not the side of the car ) I believe he was running the Conti's. Remember, your car is running almost 2 degrees of negative camber. Combined with an aggressive toe setting, that will really stress the inside portion of the tread. I would be very interested to know where the failure occurred. If you could provide that info, it would be greatly appreciated.

to KPV

hiya KPV i just made a thread about me blowing a right rear on the car, and u asked where the failure is, the failure is on the inside of the tire right in between the thread and sidewall...

i wasnt driving fast and heard an air discharge so i stopped and saw the tire was ****ed, no where here open so i rolled the car home...

P.S: im posting here because there is something wrong with my account, i can only post new threads, i cant reply or quote, and i cant pm either...(mods help me out here!!!)

hope this helps KPV

I suspect it is due to one of two things, either the alignment is too aggressive or the tires were underinflated. Underinflated 19's are a big concern since the sidewall is so thin. Small deviations from the optimal pressures can have big impacts. I have made a habit of checking pressures each time I go out in the car. PITA, but good insurance.
