Baseline Dyno 2001 966tt

Before I start my mods I did a baseline dyno, the environment was:

- 11/8/2007 Dyno Dynamics Dynamometer (KTR in Ayer, MA)
- 61 degrees in the room, about 50 degrees outside
- Air blower at each intercooler inlet simulating about 40mph
- Blower in front of car simulating ~20mph
- 93 octane pump gas
- 48,300 miles on car, major tuneup at 48,000 miles
- no mods

Results: 321 hp and 365 tq at ~3100rpm which is what I would expect (I think). The air fuel mixture ratio (AFR) vs PSI chart is interesting however I have no idea if it looks normal or not? The operator said everything looked fine and was on target for this car.

Sorry for the fuzzy charts but I had to scan them and then resize.

sounds about right...maybe a little low on the hp? Throw on an exhaust and flash that baby for 440hp/447tq!

Yes, the operator said this dyno reads lower versus the others. In the end it is all relative as long as I continue to use them (which I plan) as I do my mods...

great job. what did the boost show in the digital gauge? From the graph looks like it goes to .8bar or more at the high rpms.

The operator was in the car and I had to be outside the dyno room (looking in through a large window) per insurance rules (so I was told).

How about when you are just driving around, what is that max boost you get on the digital gauge?

Usually max out at .6 bar but I have seen .7 bar once and a while.

It's a 2001 996tt with no mods so I believe it is the k16 (smaller) turbos.

That boost graph looks like it ran up to around 13.5psi around 6500rpms which is .93 bar.
