Talking 180 MPH in Mexico! Fastest I have been in the RED BEAST!

Went for a morning drive in Mexico this morning. Three lanes of wide open space, no cars on the road but me. Start in 4th then grab 5th then 6th. Look down at the speedo 180 MPH! WOW the digital speedo at 160 went to 170 then 180 like every 1 second! Greddy showed max boost of 1.61! I easily could have hit 190 but saw a taco stand and stopped for breakfast! Long live the GT700 plus kit!

I just love Mexico in the morning!

mmmmm is infamous around these parts
Wow congrats. Taco for breakfast? I am sure I would need it if I ever hit 180 also . Probably take too long for my stock tt and I would chicken out around 130.

No Taco breakfast for me at 130.

I've been to 181 (in my stock configuration) on a secondary road here in the states. Early on a Sunday morning, cleared the road before hand. The road drops into a valley and it gives me a visual of what is ahead (1 mile or so) and it also launches me to speed on downhill slope. It really doesn't take much distance to get to 180's and then back down. It is also a good Brake Test. And yes, there is usually a mobile taco stand out that road, but not that early on a Sunday morning.

LOL they dont but the giac program does not hold boost as well as the boost controller does. I have proven this.

Yea until you get to about 190 then the speedo really starts slowing down. Then 200-204 seems like it takes FOREVER.

Buddy, Mexico on Sat. Morning? 10 mph jump every second is explosive. Did you do a complete transmission overhaul and change your ratios? Be safe bro, and just think if you lose another 20lbs., how fast the speedo will jump..., J/K Bro..

Buddy
How is the weather in Michigan? I glad to see you having fun with your boost controller but I have a question for you? I would like to see you dyno your car to see what you are now making. I think you are kicking some serious numbers now and would like to see it.
cheers
Robert

Buddy

180 must be fun. I have done 155 and it felt like nothing, bet 180 -190 is a whole different deal.

did you ship your car to Mexico? drive it down?
