What would you do different if you started again from scratch?
It is a fast progressing non curable disease!
I agree 100%. Turbos and GT2s are money pits.

If " i " was road-course tracking the car only = I would keep the stock k16's and stock ecu, just do suspension, cup tires and light weight rims and seats with roll bar. The stock power balance for a roadcourse track is perfect and i have wasted much $$$ pursuing linearity and modulation on my throttle.
street use and 1/4 mile = any 600 hp package.

I'd have offered $65K for the car I paid $71K for.
Other than that, I'd have not screwed around with exhausts and consulted my crystal ball for when DGI would come up with such a great exhaust for the car.
I bought my car pretty much as it sits in the signature below, minus the wheels, roll bar, harness, fire extenguisher and SAMCO hoses. Not sure I'd have used the Upsolute software instead of Kevin's software with his turbos, but that's what the previous owner did. If you're going to upgrade the car, It's been my exerience that suspension and brake upgrades pay huge dividends on most platforms, and this car is no different. I'm fortunate in the fact that mine came with PSS9s and H/R adjustable swaybars already installed. Also, this "suspension" thing isn't always easy to grasp. Get someone involved who knows how to set the car up for you, both in alignment and corner weighting. If you're going for more power, don't half *** it. Get with a tuner (I'd use Kevin at UMW) and get his "PACKAGE" of proven parts/tuning.
Last but surely not least, Go out to the track and USE THIS CAR as was intended.
That's what I'd do... And am doing now!

If I had the funds at the time; I probably would have went huge right off the bat.
I really enjoyed both the 600 and 700 HP levels, was ecstatic about the 950 HP level, and am confident that I will love my upcoming level the most of all (car is currently at Protomotive for more modifications).
Fortunately, I’ve been happy with every modification I’ve made to my car. A ton of research has gone into each purchase, which I believe has made the difference.
All that said, just remember; deciding how far to modify one's street car is a dilemma similar to the one that women struggle with when they consider getting breast augmentation. In both situations the answer is almost always the same:
Pick the size you're positive you'll be happy with, and then go one or two sizes bigger.

Would you guys consider a 640 or 700 setup if in the market for a TT? I'll be in the market soon and would probably jump to that level pretty quickly so would probably make more sense to buy a car with it already done.

I get absolutely giddy like a school girl when I see either yourself, of rufMD make a new thread.
Cheers.
With my low hp car, I probably don't fit in this discussion, but here goes. Track time with a good instructor earlier would be my change. There's nothing more fun than chasing a 500hp Viper with a 300hp Porsche at Road America, and keeping up due to experience in the corners. I now have 385hp with my new engine, exhaust and ECU, and continue to improve as a driver, thus can "hunt down" the higher hp cars even better, provided there are enough curves. Much safer on the track than street! (where I wouldn't have a chance).
