How many miles is too many...........

I am looking at a 2003 996TT with 38k miles on it for 64k. Should I hold out for something better or should I not be too concerned with the miles.

As long as it has been well maintained (check service records), is in good condition and has no major issues on PPI, I would not be concerned about 38k miles on an '03.

I have a 2003 Porsche TT with 13,400 miles. It has very goods option such as the Slate Grey Metallic Paint, small Carbon Fiber package, and the Porsche crests on the Sports Seats. Other additions include the white carrera dials, clear side markers and a very expensive Techart racing exhaust system. If you are interested, PM me and we can talk about it.

I live in Houston, TX. Let me know...

With these cars i wouldnt worry too much about "high" milegae. As its been stated, as long as its been well maintained and you get a proper PPI you should be just fine. But an 03 with 38k for 64 is a bit high. I'm selling an 02 with 18k for 68. Keep looking you'll find a better deal out there. Good luck!

Bah, now it says I need 15 posts to PM, I thought it was 10! By the time I get to 15, it'll be 20, I know it

996TTs - please send me a PM with more details and contact info.

CarNerd - the for sale thread linked in your sig says $80K, not $64K? Is that a different car?

Joshd...

The car is in terrific shape and it looks brand new. I have never driven the car in the rain and it sits in my garage.

You can search on YouTube for "Techart Straight Pipes" and you will hear a sound that is very similar to mine.

I will post pics as soon as I can.

I am looking to buy a Ferrari 360, 575 or 430 and am looking to for a good deal when it comes along myself.

You can call me at 713-927-4642 if you would like.

A low milage car can be in worse shape than a higher milage car. You can trash one of these cars over a 300 mile period.

seriously, I would much rather buy a car that had 10K a year on it as opposed to 1 or 2K.

what happens when you sit on the couch all day and then try going for a marathon?

I was trying to sell her with all the aftermarket parts for 80k. I'm putting her back pretty close to stock and will be selling for around 68k. I dont remember posting anything about 64k???

Sorry, you said 68 ... I was confused with the price of the car mentioned by the OP ... but then I followed your FS link and saw 80K so I was confused by that Makes sense now, thanks.

Go as low as you can on price and miles... these cars are tanks and are fine with higher miles but there are a few of them to be had so hunt down the right car.
