Resetting codes?

My car is at the auto body shop b/c of some minor front left damage. The car is finished and I was told that they would be resetting the codes.
I got the GIAC flash a few months ago...would resetting the codes overwrite the flash?
Thanks for your help

When you say "codes" do you mean check engine light, airbag light etc.? I changed the seats in my car and had the airbag light on. I dropped my car off for some other work and they reset the air bag light so it won't come back on. (Air bags still work)

Or, by codes do you mean that they hooked up a OBD type reader and came back with some codes? If that is the case, when threy clear the codes it should not affect your flash. I've cleared codes on mine, with an OBDII reader, and my flash is fine.

I hope this helps.

If all they are doing is clearing the codes...your flash is safe. If it is a dealer, sometimes they WILL reflash the car.
