FVD vs. FABSPEED exhaust

As stated in an earlier post I drove a X50 today with a FVD exhaust and will be changing my exhaust as soon as possible. I have a few questions.

1. How does Fabspeed compare with FVD? Is FVD worth $4800?
2. Will my non X50 with FVD exhaust sound the same as the X50 with FVD exhaust?
3. Is the FVD exhaust louder than the FABSPEED quiet version?

I don't know about FVD, but I just had my Fabspeed (loud version) installed last weekand I LOVE IT!! Great quality(as far as I could tell though I am not mechanic), and the sound IS AWESOME!! The only thing is pulling into school every morning all the kids here have all those aftermarket alarms, and the exhaust sets off every single one I drive past
Its actually pretty funny that basically a whole row of car alarms go off .

Loud is a very subjective thing. I just had the FabSpeed Quiet installed on my GT-2 and i find it loud and boomy at low revs. Granted, there is less sound insulation in the car than a TT, and i may be a wimp on noise, but one's person's thrilling tone may be another's agonizing resonance. Hear these things in person, from inside the car, if possible, before you buy. I went with the Fab because of the performance gains, which are noticeable.

Hi
This is Joe @ Fabspeed Motorsport. FVD Germany & USA "carried" many of Fabspeed's exhaust systems. If you look at their catalogue you can see the pictures (I sent them digital pictures). The other brand they sell is DANSK. FVD & ***** Brombacher is no longer permitted to sell any Fabspeed Motorsport stainless exhaust systems for 2 reasons: #1 it took over 180 days and a TON of Bullsh-T to get paid for past due balances. #2 Brombacher HAD THE ***** and IGNORANCE to "knock-off & try to duplicate" the Fabspeed Modular Super Sport and Sport (moderate sound) exhaust systems. I called him on it........about 6 months ago AFTER his Florida EMPLOYEES that were absolutely DISGUSTED by his attitude called me to inform me of the copy and knockoff.

I had it out with him and his BS. The systems he is making he tells me are made in Latvia or Bulgaria and from what I have seen look like "thin walled stainless steel bent up like HVAC ductwork" and these babies will BUST UP and HAUNT him and his customers. He only copied the modular design. He couldnt have copied the internal workings and the tooling required to form and bend 14 guage T304SS and ceramic refractory mat......he is too cheap to go for super quality.

It you want super quality and superior power and super strong bullet proof system get the oringinal Fabspeed Motorsport system. Designed from original thinking and made by USA craftmen with over 200 years combined experience.
Have a great day.

As a recent Fabspeed client I have nothing but praise for these guys, they got my Maxflo system thru customs into Canada within 2 days of ordering !

A class act on all counts, the Maxflo system I got is awesome, beautiful construction, to bad its under the car where I cannot see it.

Cheers

Scott

FWIW, I met Joe F. when he installed my Fabspeeds a year and a half ago. He used my 02 Cab to measure for his 2002 and up tailpipes. I would buy anything from him w/o question. I had Fabspeeds on my 90 C2 Cab, 94 Speedster and 98 993S prior to that. An absolute product w/o question.
