I've seen a few 997 C4s's rolling around in my neighborhood; damn that car looks awesome from the back-- its even wider than some of my old girlfriends. I'm not sure if it's the body of the car or the width of the wheels/tires, or both, but its got that steamroller look from the back, love that look.

What is the wheel/tire set up on the car? What wheel/tire set up do I need to get that steamroller look on my lowered 996TT? GBG

Just from the spec......I believe the body of the S is .91" wider than the 996TT.

Sorry, there is nothing you can do to make yours look as wide as a car that is simply wider than yours.

If you are talking the 19s (Carrera Sport wheel)......that's the 8J front with 235/35........the rear is what's nuts.....in order to not have to make another wheel (rather use the11J 67mm offset wheel from the Carrera S).....Porsche throws a 17mm spacer on that 67 bringing it down to about 51 (where the Turbo is).....tire is 305/30 on that 11J.

You could run 315/25/19 on the back. I've recieved plenty of "nice ***!" compliments on my car running this setup.

yep.....315/25 is still most common 19 people run..........and most effective (IMHO) if offset is dropped to around 30.
Good for bling.......they would not be my track set-up.
