Removing Rear Bumper...Tips?

I know this is probably a very easy task, however, does anyone have a DIY write up on this?

Thanks

Heya Bill it's really easy... Pop the trunk lid there are three philips screws. Loosen the rear tail lights. Put them to one side and then get underneath and undo a bunch of the t25-27 torz heads (there are about 9 I think?). Take off the rear bumperettes with an allen... There's also a couple of philips screws behind the fender liner. Then it just comes off.

Wouldn´t removing the rear bumper cause severe damage to the engine in the event of a crash?

.

Trust me, I would be one of the first ones to go to this now that I know it's a challenge, however, a 2 1/2 month old daughter along with a very busy summer work schedule cancels that idea.

In any event....I hope you S florida guys have a lot of track driving experience, b/c you'll need it to keep up with Fab 5....Stage IV GT and All!
