I just finished installing PSS9

All im going to say is the car should have came like this from the factory. Here are a couple of pictures of the install in progress. More to follow as soon as i can take it out of the garage when the rain stops so i can take decent pictures outside.

Nice pics. Can you elaborate more? I know this topic has been done to death but every data point helps. I'm considering JIC's vs. PSS9's for street/track use, not lowered much. How much camber can you get with PSS9's alone without the camber plates like JIC? I've read the Renntech article on this replacement but looks like you had to remove the entire hub to do the fronts? Any other differences?

I also used Renntech but there is a huge difference between C2 and C4/Turbo that is missed out in the article. With the halfshaft axle, you cant bend the lower arm down enough to get the strut out. You have to pull the carrier out to do it. Jeff (Midnight) helped me out it with that small detail that is left out from renntech. Thats why i show those 2 pictures. The rest you can follow renntech.

How do you plan on doing alignment and are you going to corner balance?

When they were on my car, the front camber was set to -2, which was the most the tech could get. The rear ended up at -1.5, which was the lower limit (couldn't get less negative camber). This was using Bilstein's minimum recommended ride height.

You don't have to remove the carrier from the car on the awd cars. Bend the control arm down, lift teh carrier off the lower ball joint and move it forward of the control arm. Swing the strut downward to the rear and out. Pull the strut out of the carrier from there. You can leave the axle attached.

Yes but you risk hitting your strut against the fender and plus its only 1 nut holding the carrier to the axle. It takes 1 mintue to take off with an impact gun. 1 extra minute can save alot of $$ and can be done with 1 person easily. No means putting you down APorscheDoc. Just looking at things from a different view.
