Leaded gas

Besides screwing up your catalytic converter, what are the other issues with running leaded gas in the 996tt motor?

I think the main problem is the one that you mentioned.... I am not running cats which enables me to run race fuel, but cars with stock exhaust or race cats cannot be run with it... Another problem is if you go too high of an octane the gas will not burn, or it will burn slower causeing a decrease in performance... When I finally get to the track I will be running leaded 104 octane, but thats about the only time....

dbelleperc is infamous around these parts
One plus in leaded gas is the lead is soft so the vavles can close smoother. It is a plus for the engine.

Leaded fuel and higher octane race fuel with lead content will destroy your 02 sensors.
