Anyone paint the factory turbo lip
Anyone paint the factory turbo lip
or is that a bad idea, does it look tacky. I would like to see some pics. I am back and forth on the aero kit and I scrap my stock TT lip alot due to lowering. Does the factory aero kit front lip have better clearance.
Doug,
to answer ur question, it does not look tacky at all. however, if u know u're going to hit it don't do it.
the aerokit lip will give u less clearance than the stock lip. if u hit it, it will also cost more to replace (a lot more) than the stock one.
when painted, the stock lip if u hit it the paint will crack but most likely the part itself will not crack. the aerokit lip will crack when u hit it along with the paint.

Thanks. I wanted to see one with a little darker color. Looks great. I think I am going to tell the shop to paint mine tomorrow. If I trash it, I will just break down and/have good excuse to get the aero kit.
Have you guys hit or scraped yours. Is a simple scrape or bend on a parking rail going to cuase big chunck of paint to chip off.
