Anyone ever have problems ordering from Pelican Parts?

Well, I finally ordered a clutch accumulator for my Turbo from Pelican parts on 12.18.07, and my credit card was charged the next day. I figure with the holidays coming up and the free shipping they offered, it would take a little longer then normal to get the part. So I wait until the first week of January, and no parts show up. I finally call them, and they put me on hold to call the warehouse....then the cust service rep says the order is just hanging there, with no other info??? She tells me she is going to call me back, so about an hour passes and she says the warehouse cannot ship an accumulator to me because of a "nitrogen" label on the box...

So I tell her that I thought the item was an empty ball with nothing in it, and I ask her if she can take it out of the box and just ship the part. So she tells me she will call me back...now it is another week with no part and a charge to my card.

So can an accumulator be shipped and has anyone had a problem with Pelican parts.

I have always had excellent luck with Pelican. For me, parts usually got here quicker than promised, and exactly what I ordered. I also like their online tracking. Prices are great.
Your experience may just be the random exception.

Just orderd new header gaskets and exhaust O rings and nuts and all showed up promptly and correctly. Ask for a manager or something and ask them to cut to the chase. I they can't ship it just cancel and order elsewhere. Or get a member to pick it up and rebox it and ship it too you.

Ordered a Mercedes light switch and credit card was charged straight away but later withdrawn without notice. Lots of emails passed. Was told part is expected to arrive. Later being asked for credit card details, which I am not willing to give out without an invoice. Pelicanparts claimed my credit card details got lost. Been told part has arrived with the cryptic message "Cross dock". Told to order on-line, which I did only to find part is not in database and is not available. OK, that might just be an error as that part has not been entered yet.

Am still waiting for an answer. Order goes back to April.

Pelican parts is a sponsor of this forum. They have a very good reputation and I am surprised you have had a problem. Your explanation above is not completely clear and looks more like a flame thread than someone looking for help. If you would care to provide the part number and your order number I will contact Pelican on your behalf and see if we can fix this.

To the members astute enough to note this thread is older than they are; we get a lot of newbies joining every day and posting in old threads. While some of them are spammers and scammers not all of them notice the date on the thread and are truly looking for help. We shall see in which category this member resides.
