Part # to move A/C control below CD storage

Hey guys,

I am in the process of buying a Kenwood DNX7100 Nav head unit. Currently my A/C control is above my radio, but since the DNX7100 is double DIN I need to move the control below my CD storage.

My question is: Do any of you guys have the part number or numbers for everything that is needed to move the A/C control?

Thanks in advance!!

Adam

That may be the case, but the trim piece is definitely different. If you look at the trim piece around the A/C control it is perfectly square. The far bottom location where I am planning to move the A/C control isn't square...the bottom sides are rounded in.

Hopefully all I need is the trip piece, but there may be a bracket or special mounting piece that is needed.

I'm totally stumped here...I can't find any part numbers.

I'm also looking at buying the kenwood so need to move the A/C down. In my car I have a sunglass tray on the bottom of the console which is more useful than the dicky CD holders in the top console tray, so I want to move the A/C controls to the top of the console. A quick measurement has the A/C controls about the same height as the CD holders, so I may be able to get away with a trim peice on the sides only, however not sure how the A/C controls are mounted & secured in the console?

Any further info on the A/C retrofit would be appreciated.

I have the same setup with the cubby hole below the CD storage. I ordered a new cubby hole that fits in the spot where the CD storage was, that way I don't lose what little storage there is in the turbo.

I don't know for sure, but according to Stephen @ Imagine Auto this is all I need.

I just ordered the part, so I will let you know whenever I do the install.

Adam-

Great find - i was planning on going to the dealership sometime this week and ordering that part and a new storage peice (mines in fine shape but i just want it all to look brand new)

any chance you have a link to the storage bin on that site - there are a few thousand items in the misc. tab

Thanks

I wish I could say I found it, but Stephen did.

Here is a link to the page with the upper storage bin on it. It is about 1/3 way down the page. There is an option for the top or bottom cubby hole, so you can get whichever you need.
