Need your opinion on Turbo side decals

Was thinking of mounting these Porsche made banners on the side lower part with turbo. I know the older models had these mounted, but I have never seen a later model with them installed. I guess the question should I put these on? I think it will look nice, but am concerned its gonna take away from the clean lines it already has. See link below for vendor:

I wouldn't put it on my turbo. Looks ok on a non-turbo. just my opinion.

Not for me. If your car didn't come with it, I wouldn't add it...just my opinion.

Seinfeld did it....did not say turbo...said Porsche....that to me is better than saying "turbo" somehow....

I am on the fence....it could be fun. It could also cause some irregular paint fading....I defer to a decal guru.

(note....turbo187 was right.....fixed)

i owned an auto graphics shop for sometime and I wouldn't be too concernd with the fading when placed on the side of the car. BUT what you do need to be aware of is it will scratch differently around the stickers as you wash the car over and over. After months of washes, if you take the decals off, you will see a noticable difference.

I too had thought about doing this to my car, I even created the artwork for 'turbo'...if you decide you want to do it and you want the artwork I can email it to you (eps file). Just PM me and let me know.

I kind of like the idea. But aren't those stickers that you linked to for a 997? Could have some fitment problems, need to cut for your 996.

Side decals were played out three years ago. Now they're sort of like Britney Spears.

Reminds me of a guy I saw driving a bone stock 996 Carrera who felt the need to put some nasty 911 badge on the back. I'm sure he knew it was a 911, but he wanted everyone else to know as well (I'd much rather have the turbo badge personally).

I say leave em.
