New FVD Race Pipes (Video Inside)
Hi Everyone,
We have just released our new "FVD Race Pipes". Here is a quick video I made after installing them on my car:
FVD Race Pipes (Please "Right Click" and "Save As")
Specs:
-Replace catalytics and mufflers
-Work with no Check Engine Light issues with FVD upgraded ECU
-Lag is greatly reduced
-Save over 45LBS over the stock exhaust (weigh 6.45 pounds for both without tips)
-Reuse stock tips
-Sound great (especially the turbos)
-Are not for the faint heart!!!
-Retail Price:$500/set without tips (better pricing for 6speeders)
If you are interested in these and do not already have FVD software please give me a call and I will put together a good package deal!!
Best Regards,
Evan

Does that $500/set include the software? If not, that's a lot of dough for something a competant muffler shop with mandrel bender can make for around $200, possibly less.
Car sounds great though

Sorry guys, let me clarify.
The $500 is retail for the pipes only (I don't make the prices). There will be a special price for you guys though (A good chunk less) so give me a call if interested. The software I am talking about is an FVD Level 1-4 ECU. The pipes work with any of our ECU's level 1-4...

Evan

1. can i get this without modifying my ecu? (dont want tio lose my warranty)
2. will this alone lose my warranty?

2.Any modification you do can void your warranty, it depends on each individual dealer... There are many 6speed members from Cali, I am sure they can reccomend a "mod friendly dealer".
If you are worried about warranty you can keep your stock ECU and just put it back in every time you go to the dealer (Takes 15mins). All this would do is cost you a core charge which is around $1300-$1500 off the top of my head...

Have you dynoed?
When we did straight pipes on our car, we lost both horsepower and torque.
The hot setup is with some type of muffler.

I have had zero time to get to a dyno... The car feels quicker and deff. spools a lot faster though... The whole backpressure thing is the reason why these pipes have bends instead of a straight pipe out the back, to make sure there is still a little backpressure...Also did you guys have programing to deal with the lack of cats or were you just using O2 simulators?? We have found the O2's do NOT work, only our software seems to work with the software (Ori930 is trying this now with his GIAC programing and its just not working...). Without the correct software the computer throws the car in safe mode and it runs way too rich therefor losing power...
What do you mean the hot setup is with some type of muffler?? Do you mean no cats with a muffler??? If so, that is what I am normally running on my car, hollow cats with our FVD sport exhaust!! Its a great combination, spools quick, no resonence and makes 30HP+ every time...
Your new exhaust up there looks nice, and after that tour of the shop I would expect nothing less!!!
Evan
EDIT:The pipes also get smaller from turbo to tip for some more needed backpressure

Garrett from GIAC will not turn off the CEL for cat related faults. It's not worth the risk if he gets caught.

We left in the standard program. The only faults we would get are cat efficiency codes. These however do not put the car in safe mode. Are there any other codes stored?

Anything actually. Just as long as there is some type of backpressure.
Thanks.

....mine is actually on right now, because I messed up and threw one side of the O2's in reversed....
