POS TTs
Just kidding . . . Kind of. Car has now been in shop about 20 days out of the last 40 days in three different trips and they tell me it is not ready because they still cannot get spoiler light to stay off.
Spoiler light keeps coming on. They have replaced spoiler mechanism, guage cluster, relay, cleaned and reoiled and all kinds of crap and now they tell me it is coming up sideways which it was not doing before. Any ideas. I told them to put it in the up position and pull the plug on it.

This spoiler business baffles me. I've read that so many people have had issues with it - including myself when I got mine new - happened for weeks. I did sod all about it and it stopped on its own - never happened again. What the hell's the deal?
I really think I'd struggle to pass the red-face test on my thoughts about Porsche quality these days. F@*^ing paint's peeling of the damn thing now! POS might not be that far off.

I am really closer to 25 days in the shop out of the last 2 months maybe on three different visits and the main issue has been the spoiler light. I also got a check engine light and an airbag light this last time. Its just frusterating not to have this car. I have just put a short shift in, painted the front lip, put in a new aluminum guage cluster, new PS2s, chip, BMC filter, adjustable sways, aluminum trim rings around the bezels and etc. and I was hoping to get it this weekend to enjoy these new mods that I have done in the last 30 days.
BTW, my 996 NA has not had any problems whatsoever. The TT has been consistently plagued by a bunch of little stuff. I am sure I will be cool and a happy TT owner if I can get it back on Monday. Although, I had this tornado siren like bellow emenating from the front end when I turn it off and naturally, it is not duplicating the porblem at the dealer so I am sure it will be back in the shop soon enough.

Hehe, I am my lawyer. I really have a good relationship with my dealer though and am I not ready to cause any hard feelings. My wife picked her Cayenne up today that was being serviced and the service manager was very apologetic to her and told her that he felt really bad. They are good guys up there my frusteration will pass.
It is just such a petty little issue to take so much time to resolve. If it were a more major issue affecting the performance or driveability of the car I would probably be more concerned about it.
I'll post a few pics tonight when I get back from dinner. I'll drive the Ruf and that will keep me happy over the weekend.

Car is not a real Ruf serial number car and just has a lot of Ruf parts. I have all the emails and documentation where the owner was doing the $ 25,000 Ruf turbo engine upgrade (1992 prices), the Ruf suspension, Ruf interior stuff and etc. and then he apparently got cold feet or went broke. The car ended up with Ruf suspension, tranny, spent about $ 12k on engine rebuild, Ruf DME, some interior stuff, had a roll bar, and had Ruf wheels once upon a time. Last dyno was 255 hp at the rear wheels and 249 torque at the wheels. This car is suposed to be the guinea pig for the Lenz system here in the states, but I am waiting on Jerry Desmond to get back from Germany as he is going to do the install. Lenz says I will be at 350 hp after their fuel management system and cams are installed. We will see. As it sits now, it runs 4.6X to 4.7X 0 - 60 and 12.6 at 112 in the 1/4 mile.
