will these tire size fit a 996 turbo?

Hi, there is a person asking if my snow wheels/tires - 205/50R17XL front and 225/45R17XL rear fits the turbo. i know the diameters are same so it will fit, but they are a lot skinner.

so i guess the question is if it will be any good. i know in the snow and ice weather, it will be a plus as they are skinny. but in the dry it will be significanlty less grip as it is again, skinny.

any comments on using skinny tires on the turbo? i want to make sure that it is suitable for him

thanks

A 225 will not fit the rear wheel on the Turbo.

I don't think 17's will clear the brake rotors. AFAIK, 18's are the minimum
