Hey btw 996TTSCAB,

Has anyone tried decoding the #'s from an x50? Im curious to see if an x50 would come out rated as 483 hp as well.

My X50 stock drove and handled nowhere near my Turbo S. I was also confused about it until I got my engine and transmission numbers decoded at Renntech.org. According the decoded numbers my Turbo S pulled out of factory with 360 KW (or about 483 HP), about 33 HP more than what Porsche states on these cars. It is like having already flashed X50 directly from Porsche.

Correction, my car is 570 pounds heaver than a GT2 and 350 pounds heaver than a turbo coupe.

I am willing to see for my self. All we need is a GT2 owner. I am in touch with my friend who has a 2005 GT2. The only problem is his is flashed to 1.4 bar.

If you go to this post on Renntech http://www.renntech.org/forums/index...howtopic=12027 you will see that Loren there indicates as follows:

Stock engine ~415 HP
X50 engine ~462 HP
Turbo S engine ~483 HP

Anyway, they're all numbers. Everyone here has a fast car. Not as fast as mine, Aaron's, Jag Siva's or Robert's , but still fast enough if you're not racing me or them . (and respect to Zippy and Howie in town, both of whom I know to be significantly faster than me ).

Ok sorry for that bit of acerbic chest thumping, but yeah, it's fast.

And Robert, I thought I read in another post that your car is flashed? https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...59#post1601659 "Revo Stage 2 program with 109 octane gas." And you were getting an exhaust too?

I know that Jag's is flashed with a Europipe II Loud exhaust. So I guess I'm not as fast as that.

Yes, mine has a Revo Stage 2 flash to 1.0 bar. I do run 109 octane VP as well. I do not have an exhaust or any other mod (except for a 16lb battery). With the flash, I should be at 520HP or?

?? Maybe more?? Cool. Is the flash programmed also for the 109 octane? I thought you had or were getting a titanium exhaust too. I'm not the expert here, but I'm pretty sure that you'll really get the benefit of the flash if you have an exhaust as well. Then again, I don't have a flash (yet), so someone else with flash experience (everyone else on the board ) is who you should check with.

The Revo comes with a 100 octane map, but does change parameters depending upon the octane and knock sensor. I should get a Titanium (JIC) exhaust, but have yet to order. I need to visit JIC to see and hear the product before I spend that amount of cash. The best thing is the weight savings. It weights around 16 pounds. Should add 40HP.
