I looked at that EXACT car last summer. I might still have the carfax for it.
Mileage was about the same. I can't recall the name of the seller, but while it was a small indy dealer, it's not the same one as who currently has it. Car was very nice. A couple of things I didn't like, the red dials say 'turbo' not "turbo S". That's that way from the factory. If you got the coloured dials, you lost the "S" designation. Also, the center console cover similarly just says "turbo" no "S". Again, factory option and no availability for the S. Nice aerokit, nice deviated stitching, nice car. I liked the red. My personal thing, I don't like the fact that the sport techno's spin 'forward' on one side of the car and backwards on the other. YMMV. It seemed like a really good clean car. I could only have one, and mine was the other one I'd narrowed my choice down to so I never actually got out to see it in person. Anyway, last summer I had the other guy talked down a few bucks from the currently advertised asking price.

Thanks for all the info, that certainly helps

Good point, but, what I like about it is that it is very unique compared to many standard TT's I've seen. Hopefully it would hold it's value better.
Being that it is certified, that means factory warranty until 2011 which is an extra sense of security.

You probably are right, but I think it's worth it to pay an extra few grand to get exactly what you want option wise.

And like I said, I was down a couple of bucks (and by that I mean several thousand) from that price LAST SUMMER.
And I agree with DaveMo, they're asking close to Cab price for the Coupe. But hey, there's a huge difference between 'ask' price and 'sell' price..... Given that it's been for sale for at least 8 months (combined total with the two dealers), maybe they'll be more inclined to be negotiable.......

I bought a 2005 TTS with 5800miles and full CPO last summer for about the same price. Options are very similar, no aero on mine, but had Champion motorsport RG5 wheels, sirius radio, upgraded amps etc. I paid pretty close to th asking price here, and it was from a Porsche dealer as well.
I also considered a 997, and went down the road of its only 20-30k more...but in reality, if you add full leather, ceramics and all the other goodies you get with the S, its more like 50K. THe combination of manufacturers warranty and CPO gave me 3.5 years, and with 5.8K miles, the car was as new.....
I also looked at 03 X50s. With similar options, and about twice the mileage, and no ceramics, or factory warranty left, they were in the 80K range. So the 20K seemed reasonable for the additional options, warranty and of course the exclusivity of the S.
Good luck, and with the snow in the mid-west, you should be able to get a substantial discount

BTW, both superfly and i are in Canada and we bought our cars just weeks apart...
Nicely put Jags, you and I were in very similar situations and came to simliar conclusions!
