That was a great video, I love how they chose to play 50 cent for the Z06 haha.......Very curious what mods the 996tt had, it really pulled nice top end!

 

The 996 Has a Stage IV FVD Kit 575HP, i don't know about the Z06.

i think my car is around 575 hp.. maybe 600
i have k24s... gt 2 intercoolers... 5 bar fpr, bmc air filter, UMW tuning for 91 octane (but i use 93 octane because im waiting to receive the reflashed module) fabspeed exhaust with 200 cell cats, a stage 3 clutch , LWFW, and i think thats it..
the only thing is.. my tires arent so good (ps2's), and the kid wants to race from 2nd gear, and i hear z06s are NUTS in 6th...

im a little scared

i'll have everything on camera..

oh yea, my car will have an extra passenger in it

 

Steve, make him put a passenger in his car too. Without one, you'll be giving up too much of a weight advantage. Hope you guys don't get into 6th gear, that's way too fast. Good luck and keep us posted.

 

Steve you should be fine. I walked a Z06 a few months ago when I had my 600 package. It wasn't even a contest....

 

Z06's are not nuts in 6th, hell even 5th.. If you see the Motortrend video from 0-200 it falls flat on its face after 130-140 compared to the acceleration up to 100... The car is very wide and the aerodynamics/width get in the way up there, no need to worry about Z06's if like I told you, you can drive your car inside and out Turbo's pull harder and harder as MPH increases!

6th? 6th gear is a double overdrive. C6Z actually achieves top speed in 5th.

Do you mean 2nd? My Z was deadly from a roll. You are better off from a dig, because Z's are hard to launch.
