I like it that way. I do not want to have to replace it or worry about it for a while. Did you need the utilise the 964RS parts like they told me?

I am having the exact same clutch w/ the 1150 installed on my car today. 3.2K is a very good price as I think the retail is around 4K (!).

If you have over 600 rwhp this clutch w/ the 1150 is not overkill. I had the sachs 999 and ltwt flywheel and never had any problems when I had 580 to the wheels. When I upgraded fuel system and a few other things (640 to the wheels) I noticed a very slight bit of slippage in cold weather which I am sure would have eventually gotten worse.

I am having a well respected Supra builder, who is trying to break into the Porsche community install mine. He is talented but I have heard that the installation is challenging. Any insight/advice?

I have also heard that the clutch doesn't require 800 miles break in, that is just the warranty requirement.

The guys to call are:

Chris Harrell
Competition Clutch
www.competitionclutch.com
800-809-6598
770-388-7385

Or

YUKA KATO
ACROSS USA, INC.
1480 Beachey Place
Carson, CA 90746
TEL:310-635-3555
FAX:310-635-9171

http://www.carbonetic.net/

Also, you will need these parts:

964RS Clutch Bearing(94411608000)
964RS Guide tube(sleeve) (95011681330)

964RS flywheel bolts 9 of them (92810215101)

964RS pilot bearing (93110211100)

They both stated to me that 800 mile breakin is important. I will at least go 400 to 500 miles.
I am having the Porsche Dealship install it for me since they have a gret turbo tech and all he does is install clutches. I am also changing the tranny gear oil ($2000) plus the above mention parts.

Wow I might just have to pick one of these up. Guys please put a full review of the clutch up once you are all broken in. The price is outstanding for this.

On further inquiry, it seems that the 2.88K doesn't include the 964RS Clutch Bearing(94411608000), 964RS Guide tube(sleeve) (95011681330), 964RS flywheel bolts 9 of them (92810215101), and 964RS pilot bearing (93110211100).

So 3.2 K was still a good deal assuming I got everything.

Pictures of old clutch. It does not look bad for 5400 miles.

Thus far I have 600 Miles on my ATS Triple and it seems to get better with each mile. All of those who are coming to the Supra Nats or Texas Mile, you can test drive it if you like :-)
Cheers
Robert
