Anyone have some 0-60, 1/4 mile and 0-200 comparision between modded GT2 and TT?
Anyone have some 0-60, 1/4 mile and 0-200 comparision between modded GT2 and TT?
I have been going through pages and pages of posts and I see alot of "It hauls ***" but very few exact details. Anyone want to help me out here? I am looking for stats on heavily modded Gt2 and tt's. Also, stock stats to go off of would be nice too. Thanks
Peanut gallery response
0-60, 1/4 mile are straight line numbers and I don't know that the GT-2's reduced weight is enough to make a huge difference. There are so many different configurations of TT's and GT-2s from the half dozen major after market tuners that it will be hard to get the list.
I think if you look at the Shoot Out numbers you'll get an idea of what some of the cars can do

It's in my sig lol
I've trapped 127.8mph just depends on the weather etc.. During the shoot out I did back to back runs and probably got heat soaked etc... Only by the third one did the get a result for me. The best two came earlier

See, the reason I ask, is we are thinking of building a promo car and I want the "ultimate" platform, and I am tossing back and forth between TT and GT2. Goals are a high 10 second 1/4 mile, and mid 3 second 0-60. Highway top speed would be great
Well, Tyson's was a 10 second turbo and mine probably is (was that day we'll never know for sure) and hit 11.1, which is close. The key is the launch. It's all in the launch... It's not easy to to launch a high HP AWD turbo car though.... A GT2 might actually be easier to achieve that with. It's lighter to start with, you can also run DRs on the rear tires if you want...

Also, what are some other pros/cons of awd vs rwd on the gt2?

if i wanted a show car merely for drag purposes which is evidently what you're looking for, i'd start with a viper srt-10. you can easily get 1000whp with some turbos.
If you're never gonna see a turn then the TT and especially the GT2 are both complete wastes.

(perks of the job
) Like I said, we are looking to build the ultimate 'street' car. Also, the 3.6l displacement allows us to compete in pro street classes here in Canada for CSCS and NCRA
Our team car that is running in that class now runs 11.3 and is well ahead of the competition.

Also, the car will be taken to the track alot as well, not just 1/4 mile.

The basic answer is that there are pros and cons to both AWD and RWD. If you dont have enough experience to know the difference, there is no way you will get to the limits of either of these cars for a long time.
EDIT: for more information i suggest you do a search as this has been covered ad nauseum.
I am familiar with the fundemental driving differences between AWD and RWD, but I am not very familiar with this platform. I was not sure if there are any other chassis differences other than that.
