I owned a pre-bangle 5 and 7 series, but until the syling changes and the I-drive is gone, I will not buy another BMW

Tyson ... 1.3 g's? Where the hell did you get that? No f***in way on street tires.

I was worried about ordering the E55 knowing the M5 was due. I am no longer worried. While it will outperform my car (don't know by how much yet), it is really pretty damn ugly!

I got it from some BMW press release... When a 3800lb. sedan can fly around the Ring in 8 minutes or less, I'm inclined to believe it can pull well over 1G in the corners. You can find the info on m5board.com under the E60 Discussion section.

I remember reading early BMW press releases stating a 1.1g limit for the outgoing M5. Wasn't it tested closer to .85?

I won't beat a dead horse here... BMW has lost me until they can find their sense of style again.
