As a previous BMW owner you'd think I'd be happy with the release of this beast. I don't like the looks at all. It looks too much like a Pontiac to me.
Thanks for the pics though.

I had a 2002 M5 - the last good looking one. They uglified the new one, both inside and out. The I-Drive is also a real mistake. The photos makes me feel better now that I have the Porsche.

I was a previous owner of a E39 and I can say I do like the new one as well, car is very aggressive looking.

As an ex-M5 owner, I think this new one lacks the precense of the E-39 M5. I lusted after that car as soon as it was announced but this one doesn't seem to do it for me. I'm sure it's technically advanced and that engine should be a riot though.

Yea, my family and I were Previous BMW nuts their M division were the only cars as far as we were concerned. Now with Bangle behind the wheel I have an even greater love for porsce with my dad following along behind me. The e39 was awesome as well as the e36(personal all time fav.) with the e46 not being to bad but after that it's not looking good.

Internet haters. All over, even on a 911 Turbo board.

This car has more presence than your 911 widebodies.

Better engine, too. Better tranny, too. And it seats four which is a good and bad thing depending on how you look at it.

On paper BMW's are great. I never disliked a car more than my 01 M3..

Not Internet hater, just opinions. like your opinion that it has more 'presence'.

You know what they say about opinions....

Well, we have a new standard for ugly.

And don't forget, it's a BMW...if you buy it you have a good shot at an eventual lemon law case...and you can always bank on the worst customer service every time...

Something to be said for being consistent, I guess...
