Hi !

My garage starts to look like a real money pit lol.. I have 4 ehxast hanging on the wall deciding wich one to keep or to sell as well as a set of Turbos...

Trying to see if I should keep my k16/k24 bought from roadsterdoc or should I go to EPL k16/16g ?

I plan on running either GIAC k24 program (since I already have giac for non x50 on my current k16) or going FVD with the k16/k24 (not too sure wich one yet.. Giac want 1000$ for upgrade and FVD 1600$...)

But during the last days, ive heard alot bout the k16/16g. Can someone tell me his her opinion on that compared to my k16/k24 route ?

Thanks
Bo

Car has:

K16
Giac
EVomx DV
Fabspeed gen 3
Gt2 IC
5bar fpr
BMC air

My understanding is that both put out similar numbers. I believe Mike in the east and others are going to dyno their cars in a few weeks. Look back several pages and you'll see a write up on the 16/16G

If you decide to go with the K16/k24 hybrids ... dont you think it'd be prudent to have the right program for it (instead of using GIAC Stage 3 - k24)??

16/24s have a similar output to 24s with better spool. its not imprudent to use a k24 program with 16/24s.

some tuners have more aggressive tunes for 24s, but that same aggressive tune will respond well with the hybrids.

Although I have never driven a car with the 16/16G, My car had the K16/24 setup and it was awesome. It made great power both down low and in the top end, yet it was as civilized as the day I bought it. Since you laready have the 16/24 setup, I don't know why you would want to spend even more money on a very similar setup...

You want the program to match the turbo, so likewise if you go for K16/16G you should use a program setup for these hybrids (and potentially matched to your other hardware).

I'm in the market for an exhaust,
What are the exhaust that you have ''hanging'' in the garage?
This spring (if this winter ever ends) I'm going with EPL and the k16/16g kit...
If you want to try it out, I'll be in MTL often. (girlfreind lives there)

I agree ... I'm not just referring to "output" or peak ... theoretically .. as an example on top of my head .. doesnt a hybrid require more fuel down low because of the quick spooling characteristics??? Or
perhaps even more fuel across the band ...

Just a thought ...

I dunno .. I just drive my UMW ZC ... and I still have the OEM clutch on ... "Grandma Driver"

What are people's take on this?
