911 turbo down on boost?

I just bought a 2002 911 turbo, tiptronic.

it is only making .4 to .5 BAR boost, and feels slow? I'm counting like 6+ seconds to 60mph. what could be wrong? is there a valet mode or something I'm missing? Just filled up with 93 octane shell. car is mint, low miles, so must be something stupid.

please help!

You just plug one end of the turbo before it goes into the IC on one side and then make a TEE with an air hose fitting along with a pressure gauge fitting on the other side. This is all PVC stuff---real simple. Get your compressor to make 12 or so psi, verify it on the pressure gauge of the Tee and start listening. I used a spray bottle with soapy water and YOU DON~T want to know what I found!!! well maybe you do----my DV`s were leaking like an Irishman after ST PattY`s day.........EVERYONE should be doing this esp on higher boost cars OR you can pay the dealer to do a "smoke test" for 150 per hour

Please disconnect the battery for 5 minutes to reset the ecu... then go get on it and test...

I have a 2003 TT (non-X50) with the only modifications being a K & N Filter and a Techart racing exhaust.

I am consistently getting .9 BAR boost. Is this normal? I feel like it's pretty good considering X-50s are getting .8 and .9 BAR. Am I wrong?

I'm curious ... does it reset the ECU if I just "reload" the program instead of disconnecting the battery?? I'm using the UMW programmer ...

if your running a non-x50 setup, you should be getting around .7 bars. your car was flashed.

Thanks for the input!

Even with the K & N Filter and the Techart Racing Exhaust?

I would have thought that these two would have added boost from the typical .6 or .7 that a stock TT would get.
