Have you ever been over 200 mph?
This is probably a politically incorrect question but for the sake of arguement let's assume this was done in Mexico or an un-restricted Autobahn in Germany with no other cars around.

How many of you have been over 200 mph in your Turbo? What modifications did it have?

Nope, 170 in my TT at Road Atlanta is as fast as I've gone. I did do 185 in my E39 M5 though. I have no need or desire to do 200 mph.

Ruf Racer probably has more seat time above 200 then anyone on this forum

You definitely need bigger turbos! Or, just get E60 M5/6 with delimited software. They'll take you to magical 200. I was shocked to see so many videos of M5/6s doing 200mph on youtube one night.

I see lots of posts about Mexico being the place for high speed. Is it legal to do 200mph in Mexico?

I just did a 160 pull in Mexico yesterday. Most I've been is 197mph.

I did 180mph when I got my K24 + GIAC Stage III on Highway 5 ... When I got my UMW K16/24 Zero Clearance ... the fastest I've gone is probably .... 150 - 160 .. if that ..

There are many, many videos of E55s at 200 mph also! What's up with that? Tough to believe that just removing the restricter will allow it to break the 200 mph barrier. I would think that the Turbo with just flash and exhaust being lighter should be able to do better than an unrestricted E55.

Roughly how much time did it take? Do you think you could have made 200mph if you had a little more distance or where you completely tapped out? What mods do you have?

Well .. my CLS55 coughed at 155 ... unflashed of course ...

I suppose that's where displacement + forced induction comes in ... but what do I know ...

60-197 = 34sec

Prolly needed another 500ft.

165 give or take in my delimitted M Coupe. Wont do that again now Ive got kids. I trust Porsche when they say 190 plus.

I've never seen E55 vids. Thought they are not geared for it.

GPS speed measurement might be a bit different but it still a indicated 200.

GPS 200 and indicated 200 is a big difference.

Either way the E55 is a strong runner.

I have been only been 193 mph on GPS
