Very strange "GT2" on ebay - anyone know it?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=10156

VIN: WP0AB29981S686354

I have seen this car around Atlanta. When I saw the listing I thought it might be a Euro GT2. Reading further, the listed VIN is from a normal 996tt, it has Carrera doorsills, it has a sunroof, hideous interior. I am almost positive that I ran the carfax on this car about 1 year ago and it said it was for a "Porsche 911" and nothing else. Clearly a car to stay away from but I was curious to see if anyone else knew what this thing is.

I believe you are both correct. I just thought it was a strange car. I spoke with the owner about it for a few minutes at a public auto auction in Atlanta and he seemed to believe that it was a GT2. I am sure he is wrong.

I am pretty sure that they were made in Europe in 01. Can anyone confirm this?

There is some key info within the ebay ad. It lists "all wheel drive" under standard equipment and also states:
"Full GT2 Upgrade ($15,000)"
So I guess he thinks converting it to GT2 specs makes it a GT2. What a scammer or dumbass.
Funny thing is that it isn't a full GT2 conversion by any definition (AWD, sunroof, wiper, ...maybe rear seats too?).

Don't forget the solid mounts, steel shifter linkages, no sound deadening, LSD, adjustable coilover suspension, etc
