Transmission fluid change?

Someone mentioned that after every race weekend they change the fluid. After speaking with Tommy Banh today, he says that Porsche wants $600 for 5 gallons! What are you guys replacing the fluid with?

Hate to resurrect this post - but there isn't a filter in a manual transmission case is there?

There is only the magnetic drain plug to catch any shavings in the transaxle. Make sure you clean that off before putting it back in.

Yup, I ordered two gallons from Lufteknic and got it shipped to my door for less than $100, including local sales tax!

Quick question, do you need a hand pump to get the fluid in the transmission when you refill it?
