Are there any fuel system differences between the 996TT and the 996TT X50? Fuel pump? Injectors? FPR?

Yeah, I don't think there was a difference. I heard rumors that the fuel pump on the X50 is the same for the GT2 though.

 

and that pump when you pull it out and compare is identical to the TT i believe.

 

I believe the GT2 fuel pump will not "drop in" to a 996TT, X50 or otherwise. The fuel tanks are different. GT2 is shaped differently (no front drivetrain), it has baffles, and the pump mounts differently.

I think Dan (vividracing) is talking about x50 pump = standard 996TT pump, not GT2 pump.

 

No, the GT2 and X50 definitely use different pumps than the TT does.

The pumps and baskets both fit in the fuel tank the same. They look identical, but I am sure someone here knows the pressure different they flow if any???

I'm looking into it.....

 

I was originally told when putting together my turbo kit that some people used the GT2 pump and a 5bar. After going through all the initial development and testing and asking other tuners, I was told the GT2 pump did nothing and just to run a 5 bar. When I pulled out the pumps and compared, they were identical on the outside. I have a "GT2" pump in my car as it was one of the first, but all the kits we have done since then, just a 5bar and there is PLENTY of fueling. Either way, would be good info for everyone So thanks!

Thanks for answering my question guys. I searched forever on Google, Renntech, and here suprisingly with zero findings. I was secretly hoping the x50 had larger injectors or pump to save me some hassle.

Now if you do a Google search for x50 fuel system this comes up first.

What turbos do you plan on running? You can increase fuel with a 5bar or the 60lb injectors we have.
