best exhaust for 2003 996tt tiptronic?

Looking to start upgrading my car.. stock at the moment.. but I want to do an exhaust system.. which is the best for a tiptronic? I also want to upgrade the air box, diverter valves and then an ecu reflash.. dont want the car to loud.. but a nice exotic throaty sound..

thanks

Do this... Agency Power Exhaust (I have new ones and 1 used on special for $1900)
http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/a...5-p-33955.html

K&N Flat panel filter with stock air box - http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/k...05-p-7396.html

Forge Diverter Valves - http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/f...o-p-24967.html

Softronic ECU Flash - http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/s...5-p-25302.html

The exhaust has a great tone, barely any droning inside the cabin. Cool dual tips. The K&N filter is a nice upgrade to keep the stock box. The diverter valves will keep your boost pressure consistant. The ECU flash will improve HP and TQ tremendously and overall driveability. Especially with the Tip where the 1st and 2nd gear bogs down.

Overall you will gain about 110 WHEEL horsepower. Improved throttle response, and overall enjoy the car more.

Milltek is an awesome system. Alot of guys like them for the quiet sound. Agency Power has similar sound but priced much less. AWE I have no experience with but no those boys are popular. Europipe is well liked well. I have no experience with that one either. Agency Power for the sound and price, or Milltek for the sound, performance, and having the cream of the crop. Here is some more info.

Oh and the filter... that is all a bunch of internet talk. I would recommend you run our Agency Power intake kit, but I am out of them.

Hi boca996tt,
The sound of the exhaust is a very subjective thing. I have a Tip and Cab, so I could not go with anything that's too loud; therefore, I went with the Fabspeed Quiet. The only thing I can tell you is I like it and I can carry a conversation with my wife in the car, top down. However, you may not like it; your best bet is to check out some Pcars with aftermarket exhausts from your area.

Exhaust

You may want to look at the Remus exhaust, fair price, more power without all the bad side issues.

There is no best exhaust system per se. You have to decide what's best for you in terms of how much you want to spend and what sounds good to your ears.
Like MY996TT said, try to get together with guys local to you and hear theirs.

Kreissieg with by-pass is also another good way to go, I have one. You can switch to quite or loud as long as you like but it maybe a bit pricy. After hearing my 348+tubi for more than 4 years, I just can not handle a long trip with that kind of crazy sound.

Here is the piep and switch. The by-pass can also automatically open when reaching 4000rpm, hope this can help

Go with the Speedtech

I've had my exhaust for a few months now and its great. Its loud enough to get peoples attention and sounds great under throttle but not too loud to be unable to have a conversation on the cell. Cost is also all time at around $1900 new out of the box....

Europipe Stg 2 either Q or L
Sounds great, no drone, built like a hand built Swiss watch. A tad pricey

I have a cab & tip and I like my speedtech, especially with the little "quiet" rings. It was a little loud before the rings but just right now. When I drive the TT to work, it's about 65 miles each way. For a short distance, loud is cool. For 1 1/2 hours or so, just a touch quieter is better.
