K24s for 600hp ???
K24s for 600hp ???
Is it possible to get a solid 600-620 crank hp on K24s? I currently have the stock K16s and don't see myself needing more than 600-620hp so future upgradability of the K24s is not a big deal.
Is upgrading to K24s as simple as swapping out the turbos and using an appropriate K24 flash? Incidently, most of the K24s flashed I've seen dyno under 600 hp. What are the "must dos" and the "nice to dos" with a K16 to K24 upgrade.
Lastly, if K24s are not capable of producing this kind of power, what's a good alternative?
Thanks!

Any idea of what this costs ballpark? Seems like a fairly simple set-up.
I bought a set of used 24/18's from a board member for $2800 w/ the wastegates done.
Next is a $3407 deposit into Protomotive's account for:
ECU: $2975
Greddy $432
I already had the 5bar, dv's and exhaust.
So...$6,200 total for the package [but again I already have exhaust, 5bar and dv's]. I think you would be hard pressed to find any package out there that is less expensive in a $/hp ratio. What's that....$10 per hp?....and for a proven and reliable package...hard to beat!

My K16/16G package from EPL makes approximately 600 crank.
It consists of a 16g compressor and wastegate actuator upgrade to a set of stock K16 turbos, a 5bar FPR and a custom tune from Tony at EPL. All told, you'll spend less than $3500. I consider that a pretty good bang for the buck

We've tested many cars and usually see a 100-200 rpm difference.
Did you change anything else at the same time? Most likely your programming?

Here is a quick compare, and I can post more tomorrow when Im in the shop...
So 2000-3200 ish you guys are correct, the k24/18g's in this case have the advantage, but 3300 to 4600 or so the k24's really wake up faster.
