Oil Change?

I change my oil every 7500 miles...

Manual says 15000 but why not just cut it in half.

That's what I did.

I know pierre is running in Europe with 20k intervals (I hope I got that right)...no problems....

Synthetic oil lasts a long time. Where I used to work we did a lot of testing on various brands of oil and even when left for double the recommended service life the oil was still within spec. However at that point you begin to get a lot of particulates and that can clog the oil filter up. I'd say you are safe to go to 15k, but being enthusiasts and given the small cost of changing the oil why not go 7,500 or less. If nothing else it will help you sleep better at night.

Seems like a 3k interval for synthetic is massive overkill unless you live on the track.

There are labs that can test oil and tell you a great many things, including if it needs to be changed. Has anyone tried this?
