Definitely would have liked for it to be closed instead of deleted. Either way, shank, can we have scans of all your timeslips from the strip please?

For some reason, this ******** Java was taking the truth a little too seriously and was jealous that his rear ended wrecked supra couldn't find enough HP to pull out of the garage.

Here was the post...

Shankster ties Sharkster
With 2wd

Was on the phone with Sharky yesterday, and informed him I was about to go to Great Lakes Dragway for Time runs and Real Street Drags. Wanted to test out the GT2 on 1/4 runs. Sharky replied "You gotta beat 11.1

First run, I powershifted to 2nd gear and the car fishtailed to the right and nearly hit (1 ft. away) from the guard rail. Released the throttle, and finished with a 13.5 @ 122mph.

Second Run, I launched with a horrible 2.0 sec 60' time, feathered 2nd gear (in fear) and finished at 12.0 at 125mph.

Third Run, I had a decent launch at 1.8sec 60' and finished with 11.6 @ 126.9 mph.

Most of the runs were on the right lane where I thought the track seemed more slippery. My 4th run, I decided to run on the left lane, launched with the same 1.8sec 60', but shifted perfect in each gear and finished with a 11.1 @ 128mph. I was running 18" stock GT2 rims/tires (Pilot Sport (not cups ) )

Had I run Drag radials, ps2, or ps cups, ......high tens ???

Shank

Also, JavaWiz, - or shall we call you Marcus Deluja or Marcus Frost or whatever other alias you want to call yourself. Put your money where your mouth is.... Paypal one of the board members in Chicago and Have them witness the slip in person. $1000.00. Then again, I should say, put your fathers money where your mouth is.

Oh and here is this idiot Java's PM to me..........

Awesome 11.1 run! NOT!!! You should seriously be ashamed of yourself for the following:

1) Trying to pull a fast one on your fellow forum members. Misleading people and pretending your car ran much faster than it actually did is very bad since people will now think if they buy the 4GT kit, their car will be equally fast.

2) Running 12.1 @ 118 which is about what a stock GT2 runs! You spent all that money on the Stage 4GT kit and can't even get it into the 11's. Face it, you GOT RIPPED OFF AND BOUGHT A PRODUCT THAT IS NO BETTER THAN A $500 UPSOLUTE CHIP.

3) Making Imagine Auto and Evolution Motorsports look bad. I sincerely hope they weren't in on your little photoshop con job.

4) YOU HAVE TO BE THE WORST GRAPHICS EDITOR I HAVE EVER SEEN. Seriously, my 3 year old could have done a better job!!!

So go ahead, ban me again... But you'll still be the huge dumbass for the stuff above. Oh and I plan on emailing every single person off the site and telling them about what you did and showing them the timeslip, in case they didn't get the chance to see my responses on that thread you deleted.

Lastly, GET A LIFE AND LEARN HOW TO MOD YOUR CARS.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

I guess I'll close this thread, and ban this idiot, however, those of you who do not believe me are welcome to contact any of the 6speeders in Chicago who I will gladly show the slip(s) too.

Nice run! Good ET and Trap Speed.

A better 60' time will definitely put you in high 10s. Congrats!

vrooooooommmm...

at the risk of getting banned:

agreed its not wise to mess with the admin, and agreed that this is all very stupid, HOWEVER

anyone with extensive quarter experience would have issues with this slip. recovering from a 5.135 330 in this type car to the final number is one thing, the real interesting part is on the backend. 1.28 seconds to cover the last fourth! whoooaaahhh. cars running in the 9's will use more than this.

don't take my word for it, take some time to surf the net for drag results and timeslips, and even take a look at what john force and the boys use for the last fourth in their 320 mph plus sub 5 second machines. or more relevant look at cars that post in the 9's and 10's. res ipsa loquitur.

i've had slips with bungled numbers before. this is not necessarily anything but an honest mistake. i agree the slips look shopped, and there are some numerical coincidences, but so what? benefit of the doubt and all that...the real objection i have is not to the slips' validity per se but rather to the physics and mathematics of it all. 330 feet in 1.28 seconds says it all.

i'm not sure we should be banning anybody over java's type objections either. accusing him of being a daddy's boy bragging liar schmuck and then adios no retort seems a little over the top to me for objections that those with experience will acknowledge.

The time slip ....it is what it is..... Dont talk to me about your experiences in the last 320 feet or whatever, because the bottom line is that it is, Was, and will NEVER be DOCTORED!

His opinion went beyond an opinion from his PM, and the fact that I know who he is, and why he's trying stirr up the bs.

One person saw the slip, and 3 other chicago members will shortly soon, and then what will you say ?

In short, if you think the last 320 feet is way too fast to be true, well you better give props to EVO and Imagine on their powerful ECU program (although i'm upset about the program for other reasons)

It is what it is.......

Sounds like this is simply one of those "the faster he goes, the faster he goes" situations. Usually reseved for jet turbine powered vehicles, but Todd & Stephen are mighty good, so.... maaaaybe...

shank,

please read my post carefully. i said that the slip was not necessarily doctored, and that this may very well have been an honest mistake. i don't know you but don't doubt for a second that you have this slip exactly as you received it.

shopped, schmopped...the theory that the numbers are of different size does not hold up very well either. the letters in "mph" seem differently sized as well, and i'm sure no-one will think they are doctored by you or anyone else. ****ty printer, whatever.

i also think, from what i've read about the stage 4's and from having driven gt-2's on and off track, that your car should be able to do 11.1 or even better as you suggest. i merely state that the interval times seem off, which if you look at drag results i think you will acknowledge. i further stated that i've had bungled slips myself, and by moving a couple of the intervals a couple of tenths it makes more sense to me. this happens.

chill on the tone a little. believe the slip is just as you say it is, and i've made that clear. look into it and i think you'll find that you're last fourth is "unbelievable", although that is in no way an accusation or attack on your integity.

Shank, would scan the other slips please? I would like to see the 60 foots and the 1/8 mile traps on the slower runs.
