Hid replacement bulbs

hello everyone, im going to a 6000k bulb, the owners manual says D2s is the bulb to get, but a couple of the places selling them are saying D1s, can someone who has done it steer me in the right direction, thanks. FYI its for my 01 TT not the 997tt.

what's the OEM light density?

Like your looking at 6000K.

Is the OEM around 4300K?

That's correct. Most, if not all, OEM HID lighting in the USA, is in the 4300K to 4500K region.

It is very easy to do. The owners manual shows you how to change the bulbs. I changed mine to 6000K, nice blue white color.

From what I have heard, going from a 4300K bulb to a 6000K bulb will actually provide less light. Is that true?
