For those of you who want to buy anything from Blownsix from Canada, think again. I purchased wheels from them back in March 08 and paid them via Paypal through my credit card. I explained to them what I wanted and we agreed to a deadline. Deadline passed and I began to email them about it. They told me that since my wheels were a custom order, it was taking longer. I understood, however, weeks passed and I was getting impatient. I kept asking for assurances and they kept giving one reason after next for delay. Finally I decided to call them and after getting apology after next, I contacted paypal and began an investigation. To get the investigation to close they tried to send Paypal a tracking number with an order that never got shipped, but the clowns at Blownsix didn't realize that I had UPS open an investigation on the shipment to show they were lying to me and Paypal. They took all the money I gave them out of the Paypal account. Paypal found in my favor but couldn't get the money out since they took all the money from the account so I contacted the credit card company and they refunded me. I found out they never shipped the wheels as they promissed they did. They never had the wheels, never shipped the wheels and tried to take my money. I am trying to find a way to drag their *** in court in Canada, but more importantly inform others as to their deceptive ways. BUYER BEWARE OF THESE GUYS. I heard they were good, but I am finding more people who they scammed.
Good thing your credit card company took care of you - paypal is just about worthless, in my experience. I will never use it again for more than a few bucks on an ebay auction where I can live with the loss if it goes south.
Paypal is great when things go smoothly. However, when there is a problem, you are pretty much on your own. Paypal will cowardly protect themselves behind guidelines and policies and will make every effort to put you at fault. Spoken from experience of course.

I will not buy an item via PayPal that will not allow credit card funding... in otherwords I will not give them efunds out of the account. In fact, I maintain a separate account- under the umbrella of all my accounts- but not linked to any others and only $1 balance. I do not trust paypal.
Have you noticed how HARD paypal tries to get you to use efunds? The default is always an accound, you need to search out 'more funding options' then you need to suffer through a page that seeks to convince you that efunds is 'better'.
Paypal KNOWS that the credit card will protect YOU in the end, and they try mightily to gut that protection.
www.paypalsucks.com for some yucks. As bad as it is buying, running a business with PP- and having significant money 'on the float' must be horrible.

Thanks for letting all of us know... I'm sure that with all this awareness around Blownsix, all the other reputable Dealers, Shops, and Service providers will pay very close attention on ensuring customer satisfaction. If not, this will be the price they pay.
Yeah, I've been banned from paypal for years......long story but suffice it to say....bought something...was sent something else....seller denied it...paypal did NOTHING about it....so I reversed it through credit card company......paypal says..."You can't do that" ....... I say...."Well I did" and ta dah.....banned. Jerkoffs....
I've had bad luck with PayPal in the past as well.
As far as Blown 6 goes, I haven't had any problems with them in the past, although we've only dealt with their intercoolers and have had no experience with any of their other products.
If anyone else has a first hand account and doesn't mind detailing the specific issues they've had with Blown 6, I am sure there are more than a few of us here that would like to hear about it.

Wow, they sound like they are either a company that is growing faster than they can handle or they keep trying to put out small fires with "good" customer service once they get exposed online. Blown 6, word of advice: Be proactive and contact customers if you don't have the product, be apologetic and let them know where they stand and offer refunds if customers aren't willing to wait for the product. Be proactive not REactive.
