Tinting my windows was a big mistake! What's the point of painted seatbacks in a coupe if nobody can see them.

Many thanks for the assistance. One question, did you have any problems getting the seat cover back on without wrinkles?

Thanks, Mark

Nope...the three tabs on the bottom of the seat back stretch the leather back to normal shape. The seat itself is ingeniously made...go Porsche!

I was given the Porsche sun shade awhile back, but never left it in the car because it was so big. Never realized it was designed to fit behind the rear seats until I just saw your last photo...hahaha Thanks!

Any estimate of how long it takes to remove the back from each seat? Taking your time and being careful of course.

Painted seat backs are a must have IMHO.

For me it would no more than 20 minutes per seat now but for a first timer 45 to 60 minutes per seat is about normal since you would need to take your time and to not inadvertently scratch the leather or anything around the seat.

Old post same question. With the 997 seats having airbags, this must be a little more tedious. Anyone try it yet?

I know this is a VERY old thread, but I can’t get my center seat cushion to disengage the three white tabs from the metal cross bar. If I put any more upward force something is going to break!

when I lift up on the cushion, the tabs barely move from the cross bar. I tried pushing a screwdriver downward on the crossbar, per the workshop manual, but it barely moves. It looks like there is a piece of styrofoam blocking the tabs from clearing the crossbar.

Thoughts?

Thanks!
