I highly recommend the Clutch Masters Stage 3 with full face disk. Can hold 700hp and is VERY streetable. Add the Aasco lightweight flywheel for quicker throttle response and faster spool up.

Good choice. Also look at the AST stuff (Carbonetics Triple).

Pushing the limits of that setup. I would go with the 700 kit and have no worries, they drive about the same so why not?

The Aasco is great but just remember your going to get the LWFW rattle. I love mine but the rattle I can do without.

I am at approx. 550 to 580 hp. Based on my hp which of the above setups would work best. I want a LFW and clutch that will work well for both street and track.

Thanks

Also remember the Aasco is aluminum as supposed to the steel 964RS LWFW. It dissipates heat better and also allows for easy surface replacemants.

I've got the Stage 3 clutch from Imagine Auto, which I have been very happy with. I'm still able to use the OEM dual mass flywheel, so I don't have to deal with any of the issues that some complain about with a lightweight flywheel. It is very streetable IMO, and doesn't require anymore effort than stock, but it will still hold 700hp. It is just a little more grabby than the stock clutch, but nothing major. You get the feel of it very quickly and it becomes second nature.

Hey:
I have pretty much the mirror image of mods that you do, aside from the plenum, and I just added the Sachs race clutch and the Aasco lightweight aluminum flywheel and it works great, happy with it. I don't track my car, so I wanted to go with a setup that would work on the street and hold up to my horsepower and torque, and it does just fine. There is a bit of rattle at idle with the clutch not engaged, but not worthy of mention, I am ok with it.

How loud is the rattle? Does it happen all of the time? Will it go away with time?

Thanks

You should try to drive a car with the LWF. Some don't mind it, personally, I don't like it at all. Go in a bank drive-thru with the windows down for a deposit or get in some traffic at a stop light with cars on both sides of you. It will sound like you have a loose or broken parts on the car rattling...if that doesn't bother you, go for it - the quick revving is awesome, but if noises like I descibed above bother you...you won't like it in the long run. I've had both and have chosen the dual mass flywheel this time around for the reasons mentioned above.

What clutch are your using with your dual mass flywheel? How does it compare to a LWF?

Sachs Race Engineering high friction disc

Sachs Motorsports "999" pressure plate modified by Clutchmasters from 2,900 lbs. to 3,700 lbs. clamp force

This combination with the dual mass flywheel provides stock like drivability and feel with ample holding for 700+ HP. I absolutely love this clutch package. This will not rev as quickly as a LWF, although with a high HP tune it revs a lot quicker than stock and feels a lot like a LWF. The LWF revs quicker and grabs in a narrower range i.e. engagement is a little more abrupt and slightly trickier when stopped on steep hills in traffic, although no problem once used to it.
