"Is this normal" questions :)

Just picked my first turbo today - few observations and those typical is it normal questions.

-The tires are freaking loud! It's got the original P-Zero tires on it, having a few sports cars before (996 C2, Exige, M3, M5) this is probably the loudest tire noise i've noticed. Is it normal?

-The idle is a bit rough when stopped, and sometimes dips a bit on start. Is it normal?

-The sunroof when open, rattles, i know it's not normal but any ideas?

-The car have too much power. Is this normal?

thanks!

Check how old are the tires, if they're org. come with the car, it will be 4+ years old. If might b the cause of the noise.

For rough idle and sunroof rattles, check with dealer and see.

Too much power, is normal for the first week. And need more power is normal after for 2 weeks

The P-zeros are very loud, the idle that depends, maybe the car has sat for a while , or the plugs need to be changed or even the fuel is a bit old.Too many variables on this question. The car does not have too much power, it will get boring fast..it did for me anyways.Congrats on the new ride, enjoy it in good health.

My 2003 TT with 8,500 miles has the original P-zero tires ---VERY LOUD. Everyone says I should replace them which should give a better ride and quiet things down. When I first start the car, the idle dips up & down.
Lastly, that's heresy about too much power. Hope you're not standing where there's lightning

Enjoy.

I remember when I switched from factory wheels to HRE, the noise level went higher, both had PS2 on.

Pirelli's are very noisy. Had them on a previous car and couldn't wait to get rid of them.
I've liked the Conti's on my current car. Not the best tire for performance but very good all around tire. And the price is much better than Ps2's

I found a loud exhaust will drown out any small squeeks and rattles the car may have.

Sorry to hear about your key marks.

P-zero's suck and I got rid of them some time ago. They go out balance frequently, are noisy but do have good grip. Get the Michelin Pilot Sport 2 and upgrade the size of both tires one size and you won't be disappointed!!

The sunroof rattle is the baffle and spring in the Alacantra liner. I have the same issue and I think someone here or on the other p-car forum found a fix for that.

Speed and power is good! You'll want more soon...
