Is anyone driving without the front (black)grills

I was wondering if anyone has removed these to get a more aggressive look. Is it safe? Any photos?

I went w/ welded stainless mesh. Pic doesn't look too good but w/ no splitters it looks ok. The other way to go for more of a customized look would be to use two splitters instead of one....

When my guy did mine, he frenched in the "manta ray" looking hard corners of the new bumper. I think they look a lot nicer with the hard corners smoothed out.

Not unless you want rocks breaking radiator hoses......The mesh I have is more function than form actually. Too many friends with broken hardpipes, fittings, etc. The plastic diffusers [stock] really don't protect a whole lot.

I thought about painting the mesh initially but was worried about it chipping and coming off. The stainless "looks" quite a bit better when I have my RG5's on.

paiting it looks good, but the chips will damage the finish within a week or two.

1. Without mesh, you will inhale squirrels.
2. Get the mesh powdercoated instead of painted to avoid rock chips.

it does look better, but that's only after a week or so. after a couple of months it doesn't look so good. i had the mesh repainted twice before i gave up.
