question for the guys with ECU flash

You guys that had the ECU reflashed.. what octane gas are you using for normal street driving? is it even worth having the ecu flashed if I only plan on using 91 octane?

Yes, most tuners give you a 91 octane file.

I know that they can flash it for 91 octane fuel... but what I want to know is if you guys use 93 octane for regular street driving... or if you use 91 octane... and if there is a difference from a normal 996tt using 91 octane and a flashed 996 using 91 octane...

Yes, on 91 octane you'll see a 50-60 hp increase (if not more) with a reflash.

Regardless of the flash, the ECU will pull timing if it senses knock. I try to use higher octane, but my program still delivers impressive hp with 91.

I try to use 93/94 if possible. The car just seems to run better. FWIW.

Depends on what car you mean
I had GIAC and APR flashes on my twin turbo Audi S4.
On this car it's been all EPL, all the way though.
I had their K16 flash, then I modified my turbos and had them custom dyno tune a K16/16g flash for me.
