Always. I let her idle for 1-2 minutes in the garage after driving just to let things settle down.

When driving home I cruise, no load, into the neighborhood ~ 3 Min's and then do a 1.5 - 2.0 min cool down. At the track I do a cool down lap and then a 2 - 3 min cool down when in the pits.

I was on a drive the other day and was testing out my new gauges. I'm positive EGT's were lower with the AC on. I've read here that the AC cools the gas prior to injecting into the engine, except at WOT. Car was pulling some timing in 5th and 6th > 5500 RPM after several hard runs. After a couple of Min's with the AC on, it was pulling hard again to red line.

This is true - cool right? I keep my AC on at the track and strip the whole time as I'm convinced of exactly what you found via EGTs.

Gary in BR is infamous around these parts
Please dont flame me.

I have a turbo setup on my 99 Boxster, I have a oil pump for the turbos that stays on for a variable term based on temperature after I turn off the engine.

I know that there are large number of items that are interchangeable on our cars (996/986) but I do not know if something like this is possible for the 996 just throwing it out there.
