Have an opportunity to replace my crashed turbo what you think of Polar Silver

As many know, my 2004 Turbo was totalled in an accident. I have an opportunity to replace it, but, the car is polar silver. It is hard enough to come to terms with Arctic as I like black usually, but, now polar. Those who have seen it, what do you think?? I don't want to drive around in a baby blue car, does it look that way or is it simply look brghter silver. Input is appreciated. This car would only be for 6 months until my Turbo S comes in.

Lou,

It does have a blue tint to it... compared to Arctic. It does not however look baby blue.... That would be bad....

do it! by far the best color. it usually looks just like a bright silver with a slight bluish hue. It's much more interesting than Arctic and much more metallic.

funny story. when we bought the car we didn't even know there were two silvers. It wasn't until we got it home and it was next to the SL that we noticed it had a blue tint to it. Then obviously i learned that it is Polar, not the usual Arctic. I couldn't be more happy with the color...we got super lucky.

Thanks Steve for the pics. THey look great, but, it's that "bluest" one that scares me. No offense, but, that looks really really blue, baby blue at that!! I dunno, I have seen Polar before and liked it, but, again, worry about times when it looks like the above. Any other input.

maybe this will help. no one EVER could possibly think the color is anything other than a shade of silver in real life. It never looks even remotely close to being a shade of blue, just a silver with a blueish tint. There is no lighting situation whatsoever that makes it blue enough to believe anything else. The color is gorgeous, trust me.

Lou, it does not look baby blue. It has a faint blue tint to it. I can show you my neighbors boxter S in polar silver with metropol interior. I'll be back in town Tomrw Morning.

Ok ok, that helps, I get worried sometimes looking at pics of Polar silver as it looks really blue, almost like that M5 color they had. It was called silverstone and definately looked blue more than silver. Anyway, since you own it, I'll take your word for it. Thanks.

Lou
