I run a pretty tight setting and drive it daily. I have no issues with it. I think you will find is it is a matter of preference.

Rodi, are you talking about the spring rates, or are you talking about the adjustment on the shock itself. The shock has 15 adjustments, was yours in the middle?

I am getting my suspension installed this weekend, and don't want to be in for suprise at the full stiff setting

have driven a turbo cab with the competition setup and drove rather smooth but skipps when your on the throttle, might have had the dampening too slow and the suspension was stacking. haven't tried on the track or canyons, but heard they are pretty damn good. the problems i have seen is the mounting AREA WOULD START TO BEND, i hope they solved that problem. other problem i have seen is the coils maybe too short considering the tops of the coil would bounce in and out of the end cap area, which causes a loud clanking noise when it pops back into place. i would think the street springs which i would assume to be slightly longer and softer would eliminate this problem or the newer models. anyhow i would assume with the multiple compression and rebound adjustments you can trick out your suspension, it's just setting it up the way you like it that matters. so if, which i doubt, the suspension has too many functions and ones knowledge on suspension setup is limited i would just go for the pss9 so you only have rebound to screw with or even more simple the H&R which has no adjustments except height. Vince your knowledge on cars is very extensive, i think you will be happy with the JIC.

I had it for a week on my turbo and hated it. I have PSS9's now and can't be happier.

the "L" on the bottom of the strut starts to bend about .25" where you bolt it on.

I have the new setup. I am not quite sure what they changed, and I hope I don't experience the same problems as you did with your turbo. I guess I will set the damper at two or three clicks off the full stiff setting and see where that takes me. Thanks everyone for their input.

I have the new set-up and the spring rates are fine for the street.
You can run 3-4 clicks out both front and rear on the street without probelms.

Thanks, I can't wait. Also did you just install it with the preset height settings from JIC. How much did it lower your car?

that noise is the spring moving around. they need to make a longer spring. on the new version, did they just change the viscosity of the oil?

You can adjust the height to your liking, Usually not much more than 35mm drop front and rear..You can drop it even more but makes it more difficult to do the alignment and get it right..Great track set-up even with stock sway bars car is very neutral with a little more stiffness in the rear than the front to dial out some of the understeer..
