C4S reflector on TT?

I would like to have the C4S reflector strip on my TT. I think that the strip looks brilliant on the C4S and since the dimensions of both cars are the same, there should be an aftermarket solution which combines the TT-wing with the original reflector from the C4S. I think that it would look simpy great! It would also differentiate the TTs more from the 997 models (I don't like the new "rear view") and the standard 996 Carrera.

I am definitely not looking for something to simply stick on the deck lid (I saw this "stick on solution" once on a standard C2 and I think it looks cheap), but for a new decklid, which combines the mechanics/setup of the TT-wing with the C4S reflector strip.

I know that it is not available trough Tequipment... but is there an aftermarket solution? Thanks for your answers in advance.

Edit: I know that mashaw offers a solution for the other way around (TT wing on C4S), as seen on this picture:
http://www.mashaw.com/Graphics/996-C4S-Detail.jpg

But is there a solution for the reflector strip on a TT?

I agree. The stick on solutions look cheap... It should be a new deck lid, which offers space for the original C4S reflector. But somehow it doesn't seem to available. Am I the only one who would like to see the reflector strip on a TT? Someone should pick up this idea and produce a new deck lid, where the original C4S reflector can be inserted.

It would also be a great looking "stealth mod" for TTs...

I have thought about doing the same thing... I saw a new C4S at the dealer with an aero kit that had a rear decklid, which looks exactly the same as a Turbo aero kit decklid with the fixed wing, but it also had the reflector. I opened the decklid and looked underneath. The only difference I could find was the black bracket that mounts the fan/intake (located on the opposite side of non-turbo cars). I believe the rear decklid of a C4S aero kit may fit a turbo if the bottom of the decklid is modified or the turbo bracket is used for mounting the fan and air intake. Anyone have any experience doing something like this???

They are not the same engine cover size.

Can't fit it from one model to the other.

So, sell your TT and buy a C4S!

YESSS... that decklid is the exact thing I am looking for. Do you have any more info on that car (i.e. the deck lid)?

@ee996tt: No, it's not only the fan/intake situation. There's also another significant difference between the C4S and the TT models' deck lids: The metal plate between the deck lid and the rear window has the third brake light in it! This makes the TT decklid a little "longer" than the C4S' decklid... which means that the aerokit's C4S decklid unfortunately doesn't fit the TT at all.

You guys should check outsome euro websites, here in Monaco there is a guy with a brand new turbo cab, and he has the strip, its not stick on and does look good, maybe in europe its an option at the dealer, because the guy sure doesnt look like he is going to mod anything on the car....

just trying to help...

No... it's a TL (turbolook) targa and I found out that it's again for sale... Here!. But it's 72,980 Euro, which is friggin expensive for a 02' 996 targa. Anyway, I'll contact the dealer to find out where the original owner got that deck lid from.

@phatGT2: Actually, I do live in Germany and I know for sure that it's not officially available (through Porsche AG).
